Meet the artist.

hey there! my name is kate. i am based in louisville, ky. i design and crochet beautiful bralettes. thank you for stopping by my little slice of the internet!

in my youth, i was only ever interested in creative endeavors. i loved to write, act, sing, learn instruments, draw, paint… i just loved creating. even if it was something i wasn't good at, i always wanted to try. i was greatly honed in on acting and went to college thinking i would pursue it.

unfortunately, outside pressures from other people in my life dug into my mind and i convinced myself that i wouldn't amount to anything in such a career. i let it all scare me away and ended up going for something that felt safer at the time.

after graduating college as an accounting major, i hopped directly into the corporate life. to be frank, i was so not built for the 9-5 life of staring at a computer screen all day long and crunching numbers. i was good at it, but i was deeply unfulfilled.

one drizzly morning on my way to the office, i was t-boned and nearly killed by a vehicle speeding through a red light. from that moment, i was no longer the same version of myself. the thought of my life moving past me as i stood still plagued me. i grew more and more antsy.

so i decided to leave it to pursue my creativity instead.

on top of designing and crocheting lovely wearables, i am also a film and commercial actor and work part-time assisting in winemaking. i wear many hats, but i am so deeply proud of the chance to flex my creative muscles in every single role. my hobbies outside of my crochet crafting include hiking, photography and film, reading, and watching tv/youtube videos.

i design and make each piece with love and care. my goal is simple: eliminate fast fashion through craft. i design each piece by sketching in procreate and keeping thorough notes regarding each design’s pattern as i work. i reject the use of AI in the crafting space and, thus, refuse to utilize it in any part of the process of creating my work.
